PROFILE

Kemp Consulting was established in 2019 by the founder and owner, Tarina Kemp. She is an experienced registered Industrial Psychologist. She holds a Master of Commerce specialising in Industrial Psychology from the North-West University and is currently registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa, as well as the Society for Industrial and Organisational Psychology South Africa. Tarina has been involved in a wide spectrum of management and business consulting assignments for clients in both the public and private sectors, across various industries. She has obtained vast experience within the workplace context, which includes extensive work in organisational development; psychological assessment; training and development; performance management; and job evaluation.

Jani de Reuck is a professional in the field of Human Resources and Industrial Psychology. She holds a Master of Commerce specialising in Industrial Psychology from the Nelson Mandela University and is registered with the HPCSA as well as SIOPSA. She brings both passion and expertise to her work, leveraging her diverse background and qualifications in Clinical Psychology, Industrial and Organisational Psychology, Human Resource Management, Sales, Marketing and Education. Jani also lectures at pre- and post-graduate levels at the Nelson Mandela University.

Organisational Development

Organisation development is an applied field of change that uses behavioural science knowledge to improve organisations’ functioning and performance. Kemp Consulting focuses on building organisations’ ability to assess its current functioning and to make the necessary changes to achieve its goals.

Any changes we propose is preceded by an understanding of business processes in the organisation, which in turn is preceded by an understanding of the organisation’s strategy. We can assist with governance structures; organisational architecture; role or job design; and any other strategic change interventions.

Assessment Centres and Psychometric Services

Kemp Consulting offers both online and offline assessment services that enable organisations to make informed talent decisions. By combining psychometric tests with assessment centres enable us to determine a candidate’s suitability for the specific job role; identify development areas; as well as determine development activities in order to achieve long-term results.

We work with our clients to assist them in making better talent decisions through highly contextualised, flexible and integrated assessment processes and outcomes.

Learning and Development

Learning and Development functionalities add value to the talent discovered in any organisation. 

The focus of psychometric assessments and analysis is to enable organisations and their respective individual workers to create success stories. These are normally done by joining forces that facilitate fitting the best-suited person into a role and responsibility, within the organisation. Regardless of the outcome of the assessment done, a person-specific development plan will be provided to assist the organisation in enhancing the capabilities of each employee.

Further to this, our aim is to grow and develop people in accordance with organisational career paths. By combining the assessment with an array of suitable learning and development offerings to choose from, an individual or the organisation can easily groom a person for a range of succession planning that was done.

Performance Management

Performance management systems can add a lot of value to organisations in terms of ensuring alignment of the organisational and strategic goals of the organisation. They can be designed in many ways. If poorly designed, they create frustrations that can cause a counterproductive effect in terms of not motivating staff or motivating the wrong types of behaviours. Kemp Consulting can facilitate the design and development of effective performance management measures. We implement innovative and effective processes to manage and monitor performance by integrating various systems into a collective whole, to optimise organisational performance. 

Job Evaluation

Job evaluation is the objective process to determine the worth or relative size of jobs that are centred on the duties to be executed. Kemp Consulting specialises in the Paterson Job Grading system. This internationally recognised system is not only easy to understand; but also quick to implement and update. We assist organisations with Paterson Job Evaluation implementation, including independent as well as joint management and union grading projects.

Employee Wellness

Employee Wellness is a conscious, focused and holistic approach to achieve an improved state of physical, mental and spiritual health. Kemp Consulting offers employee wellness programmes (EWPs) which consider the wide range of your employees’ needs. More specifically, we provide short-term individual counselling and group workshops. We match our goal-oriented counselling model to the needs of the business by delivering solution-focused sessions, with the aim of teaching coping mechanisms that enable employees to return to work. Our EWPs provide employees with the support they need in all aspects of their lives, helping them function at their fullest.
